Within a couple weeks my lawyer worked a deal with the prosecutor who happened to be his college roommate. My wife talked to my dad and they found an attorney that she could hire for me but I spent 27 hours in jail until I could get a hearing then they let me out on a signature bond. I'm sure it made the ride more comfortable. They were actually pretty chill once the saw that I wasn't going to fight them but they did have to cuff me to take me in, at least they put a bellyband on me with leg irons so they could cuff my hands in front of me. Having my door beat on at 5am was a shock, and having about 10 sheriff deputies barge into my house when I answered the door wasn't fun either. The asshole judge had me arrested at 5am at my house, apparently they got the address correct on the warrant. We talked guns for a bit then they said they wouldn't pursue prosecution but the couldn't guarantee that the state fire marshal wouldn't.Īsshole fire marshal pressed charges and the county sent the court summons to the wrong address, so I was a no show in court. They searched the house to see if I had any bombs around I guess and complemented me on my gun collection. Two BATFE agents came out and told me not to do it anymore and they would help me with any questions to get 100% legal, they were cool. Charcoal powder, metals oxidizers and the like. Well, the short story is the fire marshal came into my workshop didn't like that I had a bunch of chemicals stored in the shop. NFPA rules for clas II environments with explosive dust is a good start. Yes several kilos of composition can level a grage. People in this hobby love to teach and help the new commers learn the trade. Seriously if you want to leaen the trade of fireworks manufacturing as a hobby join the guild or at least go to Use a cheap food dyheator or make a drying box for this purpose, direct heat is a no-no. You said it's not dangerous yet you fucked up and killed your heater, sounds dangerous. Easy to achieve, since I don't have another space heater. When I blew up the heater, I was drying it with the heater. I wasn't drying it on there, per se, I just set it there, after it was dry, for ~100 nanoseconds too long. 50 kaboom shit from Kaintucky fried ballistics, its no more dangerous than that, and probably less. Pyro stuff has some different nuances, but it's pretty much the same sort of mindset. It's no more dangerous than firearms if you follow the four rules.
